Description
Old Kempton Distillery (formerly Redlands Estate Distillery) is based at Dysart House on the main street of Kempton in Tasmania’s Southern Midlands, producing paddock-to-bottle single malt whisky. The distillery moved here from its original home at Plenty in the Derwent Valley, and now occupies a heritage property with a cellar door, bond store and accommodation cottages on site.
Tastings and distillery tours run by appointment, with releases spanning the core range plus a rotating line-up of single-cask bottlings. The site also offers overnight stays in the restored Georgian cottages for visitors wanting to make a full weekend of the Midlands whisky trail.
